New column asks writers to submit what really grinds their gears
Pedestrian safety concern
To the driver of a silver vehicle, (license plate's last three digits are 194), who happened to turn right onto Main St. from Church St. Moncton at about 2:40 a.m. on Sunday morning, June 22: I myself don't believe that pedestrians should automatically have the right of way over vehicles anytime, anywhere. But what you did with your vehicle to my friend who was clearly in a designated crosswalk was wrong, Wrong, WRONG. NEVER DO THAT AGAIN. Driving is a privilege, not a right. All people have the right to maintain healthy lives without suffering injury from others.
If I ever see you do that again, I'm calling the cops IMMEDIATELY.
- Seriously I'll call the cops on you
Cat got your tongue?
Hey neighbour. You cost me an hour of sleep last night. Thanks soooo much. If you, oh I don't know, maybe took care of your cat rather than letting it meow all night at my window, which was open cause it was damn hot out, I wouldn't be writing this to you now, tired from being up all night. And I thought the heat was bad.
- Bring your damn cat inside.
You're driving a bike, not walking
To the guy on the bike that almost hit me while I was coming out of Subway on Main Street: YOU ARE NOT A PEDESTRIAN. So please, next time - bike on the road.
Like everyone else. While you're at it, you should consider wearing a helmet.
- Ride in the bike lanes dude
If you need to rant and rave, thank or just shout out to someone you has you up in arms, VENT! it all out [here] to Breanna@urbanpublications.com. Submissions will be edited for content and clarity.
