Less than a week after edging the Elsipogtog Hawks 4-3 on the road in what was a then-battle for first overall in the league, the Marauders hosted the Hawks Saturday night in the only game of the week for the Shiretown squad.

Francis Thibeault scored the first of his two on the night just 2:24 into the game (he also had an assist) with Jeremie LeBlanc making it 2-0 at 11:24.

The Hawks replied with their lone goal of the evening on Mathias Savoie late in the first period to narrow the margin but it was all Marauders after that.

Dalhousie scored three more times in the second period and tacked on six more goals in the third en route to an 11-1 win.

Vincent Charest had two goals and two assists while Ryan Mockler had two goals and an assist in the win. Jessyko Bernard had a goal and four assists with Joey Bernard had a goal and two assists and Frederick Castonguay a goal and an assist with a solo goal coming from Jonathan Doucet.

Pascal Valcourt had three assists and continues to lead the league in scoring with 11 goals and 20 assists in 12 games. LeBlanc also chipped in with two assists to go with his game-winner.

With their fifth consecutive win, the Marauders moved to 10-2-0 on the season, four games clear of the Tracadie Alpines (6-4-0) for first in the eight-team league.

The Marauders play just once this week, a Friday evening home game against the Alpines with one more game prior to the holidays, a Dec. 16 match in Doaktown against the 4-4-0 River Valley Lumberjacks.
