This year’s festival will take place from July 25-28 with three nights of music under the big top, as well as other activities in the community, according to a release.

Thursday night’s show at the big top is an around-the-world theme featuring Senegal  band ILAM and latino group El Fuego. The show is 14-plus.

Friday under the big top is a 19-plus show, to feature Matt Minglewood, MonkeyJunk with David Gogo, and Steve Hill & the Devil Horns.

The festival’s main shows Saturday will feature Angelique Francis, The Legendary Downchild Blues Band, and Black Dog Led Zeppelin Tribute at a 19-plus show.

“This ninth edition is a significant milestone for us, and we are proud to present a lineup that reflects the richness and diversity of the blues,” the festival committee said in a news release. “We look forward to sharing this exceptional musical experience with our loyal community and newcomers alike.”

Free shows at local businesses will be back as part of the festivities with more details on the lineup and what businesses will host the shows coming at a later date.

The festival will continue its shuttle program between Bathurst and Belledune in 2024, offering rides to locals and tourists alike as a way to get home safely from nightly shows. More details about the service will be available closer to the festival date.

Tickets for the festival are on sale now online at bluesdlabaie.com and at local businesses including DR Dépanneur in Petit-Rocher, Épicerie Frenette Beresford, and l’Exit Vanier Bathurst.
