Foul play not ruled out in sudden death: police

Police asking anyone in contact with Kevin MacDonald, 69, in the past few weeks to contact investigators

Fredericton police say they can’t rule out foul play in a sudden death Monday, and have reached out to the public for help.

In a short news release Friday, the Fredericton Police Force said the body of Kevin MacDonald, 69, was discovered in a home on the city’s south side at about 9:20 p.m.

“At this time, police are unable to rule out foul play. Police do not believe there to be any concerns for public safety,” according to the release.

“Police are seeking the public’s assistance and are asking anyone with information or who may have been in contact with MacDonald in the past few weeks to please contact Fredericton Police Force at 506-460-2300, Det. Jordan Milbury at intelligence@fredericton.ca, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 to remain anonymous.”

Police did not release any further details or the cause of death.
